Judith is the co-author of The Worst Is Over: Verbal First Aid to Calm, Relieve Pain, Promote Healing and Save Lives (2002, Jodere), hailed as the "bible of crisis communication."  Her second book on the topic, Verbal First Aid, is being published by Penguin and is now out and available in all major book stores and websites.  It addresses the special talents and needs of children in crisis.

She is also the author of numerous articles on trauma, fear and the media, holistic psychotherapy, and hypnosis. Her articles have appeared in print on and online media, including American Thinker, Opednews, and Future Health, as well as Homeopathy Today and The Sandoval Signpost.

She is a licensed psychotherapist, hypnotherapist and crisis counselor, specializing in the treatment of trauma, anxiety, grief, depression, and infertility. She started as a rape crisis counselor in 1985 and has been in private practice since 1989. In the early 90's, she became president of the Somamente Group, teaching crisis communication to emergency and medical personnel. She assisted NYPD and NYFD after 9/11.

Judith has appeared on radio and television and has lectured around the country on Verbal First Aid, trauma recovery, hypnosis, faith-based practice, the use of therapeutic animals in healing, and stress management. She has been engaged for presentations by some of the country's leading corporations, hospitals and international conferences.
